Mistiggo Varggoth Darkestra is the dark project of Kniaz Varggoth (also the main driving force of Nokturnal Mortum). As Kniaz Varggoth needed a project to express his most inner feelings and thoughts, he solely creates, writes and records the music for Mistigo.
His first release under this banner was a fully instrumental act stretching more towards the ambient genre. Kniaz decided not to release it, but instead use it to set the basis as to what the future will hold for Mistigo.
Thus in the autumn of 1998, he enters the studio for a second time and develops "The Key To The Gates Of Apocalypses", a most obscure one-track concept album that totals over 72 minutes long! This can be regarded as a mixture of apocalyptic metal and strangulating ambience. Adding vocals for the first time and concentrating on mid-tempo paces it ensembles the utmost of dark spectrums, that are least to be described as tragic, bleak and nigtmarish!
Recorded at a 32-track studio the sound is exceptional and the album is now available through The End Records...
